Beyonce is pledging $1 million to black owned businesses through her organization BeyGOOD and partnership with the NAACP.

BeyGOOD is a charity initiative organization that works with local charities to help raise funds and awareness for local causes. Back in August, BeyGOOD gave to 20 small black owned businesses across the United States which were specifically Houston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis.

The grants given were to empower and assist small businesses that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. The success of the impact went so well that BeyGOOD and the NAACP are teaming up again to give more.

Beyonce has made a consistent effort to encourage black businesses through hard times. She previously launched Black Parade Route, which elevates black-owned brands ranging from art, design, restaurants, bars, beauty, and of course, music.

Now with BeyGOOD joining forces with the NAACP through their Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund, they intend to distribute $1 million dollars to multiple black owned businesses.

They will begin accepting applications later this month. For more information on how to apply or donate to the fund, click here to visit the NAACP’s website.
