Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Selena, Talking Heads and many more are set to receive Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award
The 63rd annual Grammys Lifetime Achievement Awards have been released. Those receiving the ‘Special Merit Award’ will be opera singer Mariyln Horne and jazz drummer Lionel Hampton will obtain the ‘Lifetime Award.’ Recording engineer Ed Cherney and jazz artist Ben Golson have been nominated for the ‘Trustee Award.’
The Lifetime Achievement Award is to help celebrate the performers who have made improvements in the music industry especially on the recording side.
The ‘Trustee’s Award’ recognizes the input outside of performing, and the ‘Technical Award’ benefits those individuals and companies that have helped with technical support in the recording process.
