Carmelo Anthony and Creative 7 co-founder Asani Swann, who is also his producing partner, are set to become executive producers of a new animated series titled Lil’ Heroes.
Anthony is voicing a character based on the “Lil’ Heroes” NFT collection. He will also receive his very own “Lil’ Heroes” NFT designed by Plans for participating in the series.
‘Lil’ Heroes’ TV series, one of the first examples of decentralized content creation in the NFT world.
“We are excited to be partnering with Exile on what we believe is one of the most unique and innovative ideas for an animated series in a long time,” Anthony said in a statement. “At Creative 7, we are always looking to support dynamic projects like this that are reinvigorating the traditional content landscape. It’s an honor for me to be voicing one of the ‘Lil’ Heroes’ and we can’t wait for everyone to see what’s in store for this project.”
Exile Content Studio and Spanish artist Edgar Plans will also join Anthony and Swann on the project.
The Lil’ Heroes NFT has been so successful that Exile and Plans are expanding the “Lil’ Heroes” franchise further than an animated series with a new companion collection, “Lil’ Monsters & Villains,” that’s coming soon. Current holders of “Lil’ Heroes” NFTs will have the opportunity to create a free “Lil’ Monster & Villain” on a one-for-one basis.
