Rapper Tory Lanez was detained on Sunday at a Las Vegas airport after Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents reportedly discovered a “large” amount of marijuana in his luggage in an attempt to board the plane with it.

According to a law enforcement source, the rapper, 29, was released shortly after but was forced to leave the marijuana with TSA.

“It was determined that Lanez would not be arrested due to the fact the marijuana did not amount to trafficking weight,” said The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Although the Toronto rapper was released, the case is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office.

The night of Lanez’ temporary detainment, he performed at the Drai’s nightclub at Caesar’s Palace.

Lanez is allegedly already set to appear in court in September after he violated an order against him by posting about rapper Megan Thee Stallion and DNA evidence from a shooting incident that took place between the two rappers back in July 2020.
