Rapper French Montana does more than just make music. He is now being honored for his philanthropic work by global education non-profit Pencils of Promise as an ‘Innovator,’ for raising 226 million dollars for African healthcare.
According to TMZ, “…he’s funded the Bidondo Suubi “Hope” Health Center. “
The facility is going to be used to provide care for first time mothers and their infants in a marginalized area of Uganda.
The organization dedicated to giving kids education globally, honored French with the Innovator Award at their 2022 Pencils of Promise Gala.
In a celebratory Instagram post Montana says that he is, “MAKING MORE HISTORY FOR MY PEOPLE!” He goes on to thank Pencils of Promise for giving him the award, as well as, stressing the importance of health care as a fundamental human right, that should be accessible worldwide.
