The 39th Stellar Awards showcased the best of gospel music. The night was full of recognitions, and uplifting music. This year the Stellar Awards was hosted by comedians Rickey Smiley, and Loni Love. They kept the audience laughing all night long.
The lineup of performers did not disappoint. Performers included Koryn Hawthorne, Tamela Mann, Chandler Moore, Melvin Crispell III, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard Kelly, and a host of others.
There were also appearances from Pastor Michael Todd, David Mann, Erica Campbell, and Krista Campbell.

Tye Tribbett was recognized for his accomplishments in his career thus far, and became a recipient of the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award. Kim Burrell was given her flowers and selected for the Aretha Franklin Icon Award. Melvin Crispell III, known from Sunday Best, received two Stellar Awards.
Overall it was a star studded night that highlighted the impact of gospel music. If you missed a second of the night be sure to go watch clips and performances online.
