The final sermon of Paper Chaser series was presented by Pastor Charles Metcalf. The series has challenged and encouraged so many to live a blessed life.

Scripture: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me completely. (1 Corinthian 13:11-12)

Note 1: Tithing is the first step in stewardship and generosity

Scripture: Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, In what way have we robbed You? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this, Says the Lord of hosts, “ If I will not open for you the windows of Heaven And pour out for you such a blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, “Says the Lord of hosts; And all the nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land.” Says the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 3:10-12)

Note 2: God did not invent tithing for His sake

God does not need your money, he needs your heart.

Note 3: Not tithing doesn’t rob God of his money, it robs you of His blessing

Tithing allows for God’s unseen protection. When it is raining in your life and you feel as if nothing is working, Pastor Charles explains it is because you are praying for His blessing but do not have His protection.

Note 4: Tithing releases God’s unseen protection

Note 5: Offering is the second step of stewardship and generosity

God asks you to give offerings from the deserted place. Pastor Charles explains, you have to lose the mentality that you will give it (money) when you get it. God has to be able to trust you with the little to bless you with more.

Scripture: And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. But when the multitudes knew it, the followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.” But He said to them, “You give them something to eat.’ And they said “We have no more than five loaves and two fish unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.” For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” And they did so, and had them all sit down. And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to Heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. (Luke 9:10-16)

Note 6: You need to tell the problem in your life “sit down God is about to do something”

Note 7: Just because it’s broken doesn’t mean it’s not blessed.

Note 8: Offerings release God’s unlimited provision

Note 9: Sacrificial offerings is the third step of stewardship and generosity

Sacrificial offerings release God’s unexpected promises

Note 10: The abundance of God hinges on your obedience to God

Pastor Charles did a wonder job wrapping up the series and be sure to listen for yourself. Make sure you tune in next week at Transformation Church to celebrate Easter Sunday.
