Stellar TV has officially made history as they are launching a 24/7 operated Black-owned lifestyle television network. They have “become the first home of gospel music and entertainment.”
The announcement was made during the Stellar Gospel Music Awards weekend that took place July 15-16.
Stellar TV will be a subsidiary of Central City Productions, which is the creator of the gospel music award show.
When Stellar TV is launched, “programming components will include exclusive original content from Stellar TV’s library, plus its annual and quarterly flagship specials, along with new premiere content.”
Central City Productions is also the creator of shows like Black Music Honors, Black College Quiz, America’s Black Forum, Mentoring Kings, Mentoring Queens, Family Night, and many others; all of these programs will be featured on Stellar TV.
According to a diverse-owned media report from Nielson, Black families are consuming more content than they ever have before.
Now is the perfect time to launch something like Stellar TV.
Chairman and CEO of Central City Productions, Don Jackson, expressed that “with the launch of Stellar TV, Black America and others have another avenue to witness positive, uplifting and multifaceted representation of our culture, our voice and our music.”
