South Korean boyband BTS set to go on a hiatus until 2025
In South Korea, all men are required to enlist and complete mandatory military service between the ages of 18 to 30 years old and must be enlisted for at least 18 months.
The band’s label made the announcement via twitter, where they said, “BIGHIT MUSIC has focused to the milestone moment when it would be possible to respect the needs of the country and for these healthy young men to serve with their countrymen, and that’s now.”
The first group members that will start the process is Jin when he finishes all of the contractual activities connected to his solo career at the end of October. After that, every group member will start their own military deployment process.
