Pastor Michael Todd delivers a message explaining the importance of keeping God first and not money. Money is essential to life but cannot be your life. More money, more problems but God is a a problem solver. So if you battle with how you should view cash this message is for you.

As always listen for yourself and see what stands out, below are a few notes.

Notes

  1. Cash is critical, but not Christ. It’s a servant, not a savior.
  2. The spirit of mammon is a belief that we don’t need God if we have riches.
  3. Mammon promises everything only God can deliver.
  4. Money is not the answer to your problems. God is always the answer to your problems.
  5. Finances aren’t the highest form of compensation. Fulfillment is.
  6. Cash is connected to the kingdom.
  7. At some point, your “seek” has to turn into a sacrifice.
  8. Sacrifice is solidified in sowing.
  9. The goal was not broke, the goal was broken.
  10. It’s got you until you give it.

Scriptures

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24)

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own? “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Luke 16:10-13)

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)
