Tracee Ellis Ross joins Eddie Murphy for holiday film “Candy Cane Lane”
Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross jumps on board with comedian Eddie Murphy to join Prime Video’s holiday comedy, Candy Cane Lane.
The film is directed by Reginald Hudlin for Prime Video. At the moment, additional cast members are being added and the plot of the film is being kept under wraps along with their roles.
But what we do know is that the project, acquired as a spec, is based on the childhood holiday experiences of its writer, Kelly Younger.
Younger is a screenwriter, tv writer, award winning producer and off-Broadway playwright who has worked on many Disney films such as Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Frozen 2, Raya and the Last Dragon, and others in development including the Short Circuit short film series.
Candy Cane Lane is the first film being made under a three-picture and first-look film deal between Murphy and Amazon Studios. Murphy and Charisse Hewitt-Webster are producing for Eddie Murphy Productions, alongside Brian Grazer and Karen Lunder of Imagine Entertainment.
