Pastor Michael Todd’s series “Damaged But Not Destroyed” is still going strong as he has released another powerful message on how to end the year in triumph. If you have been following or even reading the associated book you know this series is personal but motivational. As the year closes Pastor Todd encourages all to not end defeated by trauma but instead end encouraged.
As always watch for yourself to see what stands out to you, notes below.
Notes
- With God, triumph is always on the other side of trauma
- Suddenly is sometime slow
- Suddenly is defined by the scene you’ve seen
- The secret of a sudden switch is steady
- How to stay steady? 1. Submit to process 2. Stay in proximity 3. Switch your mind into the promise
- A sudden switch comes from a subtle switch
Scriptures
I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator, your King.” This is what the Lord says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness, and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen. (Isaiah 43:15-20)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.(Romans 8:28)
The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman
and the planter by the one treading grape. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. “They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them” says the Lord your God.(Amos 9:13-15)
