Take a look at the films synopsis below:

Isaiah Wright has some growing up to do. A year out of high school with no plans for his future, Isaiah is challenged by his single mom and a successful businessman to start charting a better course for his life. Through the prayers of his mother and biblical discipleship from his new mentor, Isaiah begins to discover God’s purpose for his life is so much more than he could hope for or imagine. From the Kendrick Brothers, the creators of the No. 1 hit WAR ROOM, comes THE FORGE, a faith-filled new movie with old friends and inspiring new twists.

The Link Entertainment hit the red carpet of The Forge New York City premiere, where we spoke to the stars of the movie, Priscilla Shirer and Aspen Kennedy.

When asked about the significance of seeing men of God on the big screen disciplining and mentoring other men, Shirer had this to say: “My goodness, I think it’s going to remind us that there is very little that is more powerful than a person who is older, wiser, more mature, stamping and affirming a young man and saying to him, you are enough that I affirm you, I bless you, I’m proud of you. Now let me show you how to walk as a man of integrity and character, and show you that you don’t have to sacrifice excellence or success to do that.”

We asked Kennedy what he would say to people who are still on the fence about this movie. “It’s truly a powerful movie to the point where it’s for everyone, honestly, because I believe everyone has somebody in their family they can forgive. It deals with so many themes of, father child dynamics, mother child dynamics, and everybody has a family. So it’s a thing where people will truly enjoy the movie. You know, people will laugh. They will cry, they will love their loved ones a little bit harder.”
