Da Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch dominate nominations for the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards

Just as the BET Awards and many other award shows this year paved the way as one of the first shows to take place virtually during the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Hip Hop Awards will honor some of the best songs and videos of the year, as well as the industry’s biggest hustlers, the most visible hip hop platforms, and most impactful protest tracks. The BET Hip Hop Awards is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 27 at 9:00PM ET/PT.
DaBaby is dominating the show this year with 12 nominations, followed by Roddy Ricch with 11, Drake and Megan Thee Stallion are tied with eight each, and Beyonce comes in with three nominations.
Other nominations include Lil Baby and Future, while Mulatto, Flo Milli, Rod Wave, NLE Choppa and the late Pop Smoke are all competing for Best New Hip Hop Artist.
“Best International Flow” is a category that will recognize artists from around the world, with nominees from France, South Africa, Kenya, UK and for the first time ever, a nominee from Brazil.
The show will also air internationally on BET Africa at 3:00am CAT on October 28th, followed by international broadcasts in France on October 30th at 9:55pm CEST, the UK on October 31st at 9:00pm BST, and in South Korea on October 31st ay 9:00pm KST. Additionally, the show will simulcast on BET Her, VH1 and MTV2.
