Federal authorities are investigating Hunter Biden’s business dealings in China

According to CNN News, the Delaware Attorney general is working with the IRS Criminal Investigation Unit and FBI to investigate Hunter Biden, the son of President-elect Joe Biden.
The investigation began in 2018 and investigators have been looking into several financial issues. One of them includes whether Hunter Biden and his business associates violated tax and money laundering laws in their business interactions in the foreign country of China.
The investigation was placed on hold until after the election to make sure it would not have an impact on the election.
Hunter Biden claimed his innocence in a statement released to the press,
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” said Biden. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately.”
