Great news for one of rap music’s icons! Famed producer and businessman, Andre Romelle Young, also known as Dr. Dre, has been released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering from a brain aneurysm on January 4.

Earlier this month, it seemed as though 2021 was continuing in 2020’s footsteps when it was announced that Dre had suddenly been hospitalized.

According to Health Magazine, a brain aneurysm is an “abnormal bulge or ballooning in the wall of an artery of the brain.” Once filled, the bulge can possibly hemorrhage, or “burst.” This can lead to a stroke, brain damage, and possibly death.

Prior to his release, Dr. Dre took to Instagram to give an update.

“Thanks to my family, friends, and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team.”

Numerous celebrities including LeBron James and Ellen DeGeneres publicly shared their support and prayers for the rap legend.

Let’s all pray for a speedy recovery for one of the world’s most influential creatives! With his pending divorce, recent home break-in, and unfortunate health scare, it sure has been hard to “forget about Dre.”
