Comedian Nick Cannon will return as the host of VH1’s “Wild ‘N Out” after he was fired last summer due to anti-semitic remarks.

ViacomCBS, the parent company of VH1 and MTV, terminated their relationship with Cannon after he released a controversial episode of his “Cannon’s Class” podcast, featuring artist Professor Griff.

In the episode, Cannon and Professor Griff engaged in conversations regarding the influence of the Rothchild family, the Illuminati, and other anti-semitic conspiracy theories that shed a negative light on the Jewish community.

In one particular instance, Cannon referred to people who lack melanin as “a little less,” and that “they’re acting out of fear, they’re acting out of low self-esteem… so therefore the only way that they can act is evil. They have to rob, steal, rape, kill in order to survive.”

In reference to Black people, he stated, “You can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people. That’s our birthright. So if that’s truly our birthright, there’s no hate involved.”

After the subsequent backlash and termination, Cannon publicly apologized for his remarks.

Cannon’s apology seems to have weighed heavily in ViacomCBS’s decision to reunite with the host.  A spokesperson for the company told Fox News, “Nick has not only apologized and taken responsibility for his comments, but he has also worked to educate himself and others through engagement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms.”
