The Golden Globes nominations have been announced. The show will highlight the talent and artist of many well known celebrities. 

The nominations for The Golden Globes in the category for best original song is full of Black girl magic. The nominees include R&B singer H.E.R, Celeste, and Andra Day.

Songwriter Diane Warren along with Grammy and Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr.  have also been doubled nominated, for best original song.

H.E.R. has been nominated for “Fight for You”, from the film “Judas and the Black Messiah,” she will be sharing her nomination with D’Mile and Tiara Thomas. British-Jamacian singer Celeste, who recently dropped her debut album has been nominated for her song “Hear My Voice” for the film “The Trial of the Chicago 7.” She helped co-write the song with Daniel Pemberton .  

Day, is nominated for co-writing “Tigress & Tweed” alongside well known singer songwriter producer Raphael Saadiq. The song is from the Hulu motion picture  “The United States vs. Billie Holiday,” the now 36- year- old Day has been nominated for best actress for the film which now puts her up against Viola Davis, Frances McDormand, Carey Mulligan and Vanessa Kirky. 

Similar to Day, Odom Jr. has become a double nominee, for co-writing “Speak Now”, from the featured film “One Night in Miami” with Sam Ashworth and he will also be competing for best supporting actor for the film as well. Day and Odom Jr are following in the footsteps of Mary J. Blige, Lady Gaga and Cynthia Erivo

The nominations include many of the greats and we must wait and see who walks away with the iconic globe award.
