The BET Awards are back for 2021, and let’s just say it’s stacked with heavy hitters this year.
Da Baby and Megan Thee Stallion are leading the nominations, with them both being nominated for ‘Album of the Year.’
Some groups are already showing up in the listings that just dropped music this year, like Silk Sonic.
Of course, stars like Beyonce, Cardi B, Drake, Chris Brown, and even The Weeknd are nominated, but with new players like Jack Harlow and Flo Milli; It’ll be nice to see who wins this year.
Also, if vaccinated, there’s a chance to see the award show live. BET is working closely with Los Angeles County to support community vaccination efforts and ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
When talking about bringing the show back live, Connie Orlando, EVP of Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy said, “We are back and excited to bring culture’s biggest night, the 2021 ‘BET Awards,’ safely back to Los Angeles to celebrate this year’s incredible roster of nominees.”
She continued to say, “We broke ground as one of the first official award shows to move forward during the global pandemic and we are ready to take our pioneer status to the next level with the return of an audience to celebrate the best and brightest creative minds in the entertainment industry.”
