Her announcement comes four months after her brother Shaqir O’Neal committed to Texas Southern where he will be playing for Shaq’s former coach from 1989 to 1992, Johnny Jones.

Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, who has won four consecutive titles with the now-defunct Houston Comets, will coach Amirah.

She is a 6-foot-1 forward that averaged 17.2 points per game as a junior in high school during the 2018-2019 season star and averages 17.2 points per game. She was part of the All-Division 3 Second Team selection by Max Preps when she was a junior in high school.

The family is very talented and will do great things wherever they go.
