The Atlanta Braves closed out game six with a win in the 2021 World Series to the Houston Astros. This is the Braves first championship since 1995 with a 7-0 win over the Astros in Game 6 of the World Series.

The Atlanta Braves first World Series win in over 20 years averaged 14.3 million viewers against the Houston Astros helping the Major League Baseball’s main event to recover in terms of ratings.

Jorge Soler hit his third home run of the Series as well as six RBIs and finished, a .300 batting average, and a three-run drive in the third off Luis Garcia, and Freddie Freeman and Dansby Swanson also connected. Soler ended the series named World Series MVP.

Max Fried allowed four hits over six innings for the win.

Although the Braves’ win total was the lowest for a World Series champion since the St. Louis Cardinals’ 83 victories in 2006 they managed to win 88 games overall in the regular season and won against the defending champion, Los Angeles Dodgers.

After the win, former Cubs’ Joc Peterson’s signature pearl necklace will have its home in Cooperstown at the Baseball Hall of Fame. The necklace was seen all over Truits Park during the world series.

The Braves will have a two-part victory parade in Woodruff Park in the heart of downtown Atlanta and will be escorted to Cobb County to resume another mile of celebrating.
