Deyjah Harris speaks out about self-harm on Self Injury Awareness Day

On Self Injury Awareness Day, Deyjah Harris, daughter of the rapper T.I., spoke up about her struggle with self harming. 

She shared a post on Instagram where she talks about her experiences with self harm. Harris informs her audience that, “Don’t have to hide who they are,” “I see you.”

She also expressed how facing these issues has helped her to empathize with those who faced the internal battle of self harm due and the different forms it comes in. 

Harris encouraged others that deal with this issue to take the step of speaking about their struggles.

“I need you to see that if I can be brave enough to share this part of my life/my journey with the world, then you can too,” said Harris.

In a separate post Harris thanked her parents for being so patient and supportive of her through her battle with self-harm.

She shared photos with her parents and expressed her gratitude towards them for working together and helping her realize that she is bigger than her battles.

T.I. left a heartwarming comment on the post.

“Ain’t no other way, baby bear. We ALL Love you to no end. Through any & everything life has to offer. Good, bad, or worse… I Ain’t Never going nowhere & ain’t nothing ever too big or small to bring my way. It’s US til da world, BUST!!!! You know we 4LIFERS‼️”

Harris explained her struggles have never been influenced by her parents, and she is so appreciative to have both of them in her life.
