Pastor Michael Todd released a new series entitled “Fresh Fruit.” This series encourages believers to evaluate their current situation with a fresh perspective from God. Pastor Todd challenges listeners to consider what if God isn’t making the situation new but making you new within it. This message will shift your mindset, and the old will become new. As always be sure to watch the sermon for yourself and see what stands out to you, notes are below.

Notes

  1. A life with Christ is not about what I get that’s new it’s about what I keep fresh
  2. Culture desires new, Christ desires fresh
  3. Because I have Jesus, I don’t need something new, I need something fresh
  4. God’s not pouring new unless the vessel is fresh
  5. How do you stay fresh? Gratitude is the gateway to a fresh perspective
  6. The passcode to the presences of God is “Thank you”

Scriptures

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. (John 15:16)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Then John’s disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?”

Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast. “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” (Matthew 9:14-17)

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. (Psalms 100:4)
