With everything going on in the world from pandemics to elections, we all could use a little self-care. In honor of Black women winning this year, like our new Vice President-elect Senator Kamala Harris or our good girl Cardi B whose shoes sold out in hundreds of stores across the U.S., we decided to show you Black-owned skincare companies that are killing the game when it comes to pampering ourselves.

Aba Gyepi-Garbrah is a Certified Aromatherapist that believes in holistic skincare. She brings collections of botanical skincare products along with healing aromatics.

This North Carolina company gives you dermatologist-approved all-natural products. Their philosophy is “What you put on your skin, should be safe enough to eat.”

Who said black girls don’t need sunscreen? Sure our skin doesn’t crack, but as the singer, Mya said, “SPF is a way to stay youthful.” This company sells its products in stores like Target and Walgreens.

Base Butter is a company that wants you to know that they care about your skin; oily, combination, dry, and all. They make sure that when you use their products, you are comfortable in your skin.
