Facebook launched its music app, ‘Collab,’ to the world for the first time. It was already an app but was by invite-only, now all iOS users have access.

The concept of the app is to make small music videos and combine them into one. The user can lay three videos on top of each other to play in synchronicity. For example, a musician has all the tools needed in the palm of their hand to make a music video.

‘Collab’ was made for Facebook by the New Product Experimentation LLC team. It is said that this app will rival TikTok, a competitor that has been taking away some of the users from Facebook apps such as Instagram.

Currently, the app is only available on iOS. There hasn’t been an official release date on when the app will come out for Android.
