God has the final say

As we go through life the world is constantly evolving and changing. But God has remained the same.

Over the last year the world has had its ups and downs. In the world we live in certain people try to control how this world should run. Leaders we look up to are pushed to the limits by the people who support them. Having many high expectations on your life or figures can cause you to forget what is really important.

God is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the beginning and the end, the first and the last, Alpha and Omega.

Proverbs 16: 1-3 says, “We humans make plans, but the Lord has the final word. We may think we know what is right, but the Lord is the judge of our motives. Share your plans with the Lord, and you will succeed.”

We may think things in our life are beneficial and right according to us but God knows “the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

The Bible also talks about how it’s wrong to favor the guilty. “Wrongdoing leads to shame and disgrace. Words of wisdom are a stream that flows from a deep fountain. It’s wrong to favor the guilty and keep the innocent from getting justice.” (Proverbs 18: 3-5)

As Christians, we have to stay clear of our path and listen to what God says to do. Everything that is happening to you is happening for a reason. Between a global pandemic, social injustice, unexpected deaths and unrighteous leaders, we must not lose sight of what is really important.

God has the final say and he knows the best has yet to come.
