Comedian and actor, Kevin Hart, and his HartBeat Production have an exclusive partnership with Netflix.

In this new deal, Hart will give Netflix at least four films to star and produce in and allow HartBeat Production to then enter into a first-look deal via his production company.

Hart is currently shooting an action comedy film “Man From Toronto.” After, he is set to star alongside Wesley Snipes while executive producing a new Netflix scripted limited series “True Story,” which will mark Hart’s dramatic series debut as well.

As Netflix continues to grow globally, films with broad appeal, where films can be enjoyed by a wide range of audiences has become important when it comes to Netflix growing its membership base. This partnership is set to be financially beneficial to both Netflix and Kevin Hart.

According to Netflix, all of Hart’s films have grossed over $4 billion in the global box office.

“Netflix has enjoyed a long relationship with Kevin and we’ve been lucky enough to partner with him many times.  He’s a hands-on producer and it’s been great to watch him build an incredible company with HartBeat. There are very few artists who can attract audiences of all ages and succeed in making comedies, dramas and family films,” said Netflix’s head of film, Scott Stuber.

Make sure to be on the lookout of Kevin Hart’s new films, you’ll be sure to laugh!
