The pandemic has brought many new things like curbside grocery shopping, and virtual events. The best part is that we now can enter a worship service from anywhere in the world through a click of a button. If the saying, “y’all need Jesus,” was a season this would surely be that time. The latest opportunity for a day of praise is approaching and will be hosted by the gospel singer Jonathan McReynolds.

The show will go live virtually February 27th and commence the following day. The show goes back to 1986, and over the years has gained attention and reputation of being a notable gospel performance. In an interview, the Special Projects Coordinator stated, “ The program is more than just a concert. It serves as an outreach activity to encourage African American youth to appreciate the many advantages of a CLC (College of Lake County)  education while motivating attendees to better their communities. “

The concert over the years have gotten recognized by celebrities such as Kirk Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Tori Kelly, and many more. The show is usually a ticketed event, however this year it will be free for all those wanting to partake in a worship experience. It does require early registration, so go to their website and claim your spot.
