TV host Nina Parker fills a void within the fashion industry and creates her own plus size line to be sold at Macy’s

Nina Parker an Emmy nominated television host is taking a fashionable step into the fashion industry. Parker appears frequently at various red carpets, there are many things to consider prior to the event.  There’s make-up, hair, and most importantly what to wear. That is where the problem came in for E! host.

She grew tired of only having limited options that could not begin to compare to women of a smaller size. The wheel started turning and Parker took matters into her own hands. She would juggle hosting by day and learning all about the fashion industry by night.

Parker stated in an interview with E! “With plus sizes, it’s like they want us to hide, they’re matronly, something my aunties might wear. I don’t understand why big has to mean conservative.

The collection will feature dresses, tanks, denims and more in fun fabrics and loud prints ranging from $39-$129. In the sizes 16W to 24W. Parker plans to expand into shapers, swimwear, and shoes.

Nina Parker’s collection will launch May 14th. She is the first ever Black woman to have a plus-size line in Macy’s.
