It is always a good day to pray. Pray.com is an app that helps people incorporate daily prayer as well as offers faith-based audio. This year the site will host its second annual National Day of Prayer event. Lecrae will be on the roster this year. As well as Hillsong Church singer Brooke Ligertwood.

The day of celebration is expected to draw in 50 million people which is a big increase from the one million participants last year.

National Day of Prayer has been celebrated in the United States since 1952. In 1988 legislation designated the first Thursday in May as the annual day of prayer.

The event hopes to address mental health and encourage a healthy and consistent prayer life.

“Any day that we are not praying is a day that we are depending on ourselves to make things happen, and is a day when we are not interested in trusting in the provision of God,” Lecrae said. “Spending time in prayer is usually not on our priority list because we’ve got so many things to do, but you can pray as you go, you can pray on the drive, you can pray anywhere. Pray without ceasing, but always remember this whenever you are spending time with God: you are not losing time, you are gaining eternity. Keep praying.”

If you want join the event it will go live Thursday, May 6th 4:00pm PDT/ 7pm EDT. Available on Pray.com, SiriusXM, and DirectTV.
