Pastor Mike Todd presents “Flood Sunday” with over 25,000 baptisms at Transformation Church

“Open the flood gates of Heaven, let it rain.” These lyrics could have been the theme song for the experience at Transformation Church on Sunday. May 23rd was Flood Sunday at Transformation Church. Pastor Mike Todd baptized numerous people in a home pool while over 25,000 people across the world were baptized through digital guided resources. It was a day full of healings and new beginnings.

The Upgrade series has truly been eye opening for most and transformational for many. As you can imagine this past sermon was quite different yet Pastor Todd still delivered a powerful message worth noting.

Scripture: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Scripture: Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all treasury of the Kandake. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. (Acts 8:26-28)

Scripture: As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. (Acts 8:36-38)

Note 1: Everything without the King is nothing.

Note 2: Where you’re going is not as important as what God is doing.

Scripture: This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone, a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The service concluded with the viewing of multiple baptisms of believers of all ages and backgrounds coming together to make a life changing, or rather life-saving decision.

As always, watch the sermon for yourself and see what speaks to you, If you feel led to get baptized it is not too late. In the rebroadcast you can text “Baptism: to 828282 to receive digital instructions, just add water!

Transformation Church also announced that ‘Belong Groups’ will launch on June 6th. This will allow for believers all over the world to build relationships and community with one another while continuing their walk with God. So mark your calendars so you can join a group where you belong.
