Rapper Lil Baby was released from Paris police custody Friday morning after being slapped with a fine for Cannabis possession.
This past Thursday, the platinum-selling artist had been walking a city avenue with his bodyguard and NBA superstar James Harden, as they traveled together to enjoy Paris Fashion Week.
According to Yahoo, an anonymous French police official explained that plainclothes officers stopped the trio because a “strong smell of cannabis was coming from their car.” After some confusion and tension due to language barriers, Uniformed officers arrived and found 32 grams of cannabis inside the rapper’s vehicle.
Lil Baby and his bodyguard were arrested on suspicion of transporting drugs, while Harden was only frisked.
