R&B singer Ari Lennox has revealed that she no longer wants to be signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville and Interscope Records, after explaining how she’s “done and tired” in a recent tweet and wants to “be free.”

Taking it to twitter on Jan. 23, the singer vowed to no longer do interviews in South Africa after South African podcaster MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho on the Podcast and Chill show  “ambushed and blindsided” her with questions about her sex life.

The podcaster allegedly asked “And where are we at right now? Is someone fu**ing you good right now?”. Lennox referred to the interview as “the icing on the cake” and expressed disappointment in her support team.

“For Christ sakes” said Lennox in response to critics. “I realize I have no hits. I realize you all can live without hearing my music. I realize my complaining is so aggravating to y’all. I don’t ask blogs to post me when I’m at my worst. You judgmental self hating parasites wouldn’t last a day as a signed artist.”

Lennox has been working on her sophomore album, the first single being “Pressure” which was released in September 2021.
