
The San Antonio Spurs have hired former Women’s National Basketball Association champion, Candice Dupree, as an assistant coach.
Dupree got her start on the women’s basketball team at Rutgers University and after four years at Rutgers, she was drafted 6th overall at the 2006 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.
Throughout her 16-year-long career, she has played on many rookie and all-star teams; even winning the 2014 championship with the Phoenix Mercury. Dupree’s career has allowed her to play on basketball teams all around the world ranging from Poland and Russia to the Czech Republic.
Dupree joined the San Antonio Spurs coaching staff for their 2022 NBA Summer League that took place in Las Vegas.
