It is almost that time of year again! Mariah Carey, our queen of Christmas music, just might be gifting us with another iconic Christmas tune this holiday season. The “All I Want For Christmas” singer had fans playing guessing games when she posted a cryptic photo on Instagram with a Christmas tree emoji. While she didn’t leave too many clues to tell us what exactly is in the works, the snap however did include three director chairs with the initials, AG, MC, and JH. Are we getting a star-studded Christmas collaboration? Fans seem to think so as the decorations looked very festive and she appeared to be on the set of a new music video.
In addition to this, news of Mariah Carey’s upcoming production, entitled Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, was confirmed back in August, just ahead of the release of her New York Times bestselling book, The Meaning of Mariah Carey. The “innovative special” will include music, dancing, and animation “driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together,” reported Billboard. Carey has become a household name during Christmas ever since the 1994 release of her hit single “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” which has gone on to become a history-making record and the singer’s 19th number one hit.
Although she has yet to confirm the mystery collaborators, our best bet is that those initials are for Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. What do you guys think?
