The woman that accused Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, of rape in 1994 has refiled a lawsuit against the female rapper and her husband.

According to NME, “…witness intimidation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment” and other charges,” are the reason for the lawsuit.

In 1994 Hough claims that she was raped at knifepoint by Petty when they were 16 years old.

Petty pled guilty to attempted rape in 1995 and was recently charged for not registering himself as a sex offender in March of 2020 following his move to the West Coast.

According to TMZ, Minaj’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, says that Hough and her attorneys are just looking to gain a profit off of the lawsuit.

The charges toward Minaj had been dropped on Wednesday, January 12. Hough’s lawyers say it was due to a prosecution issue.

Burstein told NBC, Minaj paid over $300,000 to defend herself in the case and plans to fight to recover the legal fees.

“As usual, they have decided to adopt a tactic without bothering to research the law. Had they done so, they would realize that re-filing their frivolous action in another jurisdiction will only result in another court sanctioning them,”Burstein said.

Minaj and her husband have not made any recent comments regarding the current lawsuit.
