Kendrick Lamar paid tribute to the late Virgil Abloh at the Louis Vuitton’s Men Spring/Summer 2023 show. The show took place this Thursday at Paris Fashion Week.

Most fashion lovers remember that Virgil Abloh was the creative designer for Louis Vuitton before passing. He had close ties to the Hip Hop community due to his relations with Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and even Kanye West. So it was fitting that Kendrick Lamar got to perform at the show.

Kendrick Lamar performing was a brilliant move by both Lamar and Louis Vuitton. It wasn’t that long ago when Lamar released “The Heart V.” He represented multiple black men that are celebrities, including Will Smith, Jessie Smollett, O.J. Simpson, and even the late Nipsey Hussle.

Kendrick performed “N95” along with “Rich Spirit” at this show. He wore the infamous crown on his Mr. Morale, The Big Steppers cover, and an oversized grey suit. What made it even better Kendrick repeatedly chanted “Long Live Virgil” at the end of “Count Me Out.”

Though most of the world may not be able to see Kendrick live at a fashion show, fans can catch him on tour this summer. Want to know more about his shows? Click here.
