Snoop Dogg has made his way over to the technology side mainly Bitcoin. Crypto announced that Snoop Dogg will debut his first Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) collection entitled “A Journey with the Dogg.”

The collection will include Snoop Dogg’s memories from his early years with art inspired by the NFT movement including an original track titled “NFT” which is an instant classic that is inspired by the movement.

A portion of the proceeds will support young, emerging artists in the crypto space as well as Snoop’s Youth Football League.

What are Non-Fungible Tokens?

NFTs are digital assets where anything is easily interchangeable units, similar to currency. In the digital world, NFTs are a one of a kind asset that can be purchased and sold like any other item like artwork but there isn’t a physical structure. The digital tokens can be compared to ownership certificates for virtual or physical properties.

How does NFTs work?

Artwork can be utilized with NFTs to establish a digital certificate of ownership that can be purchased and sold. There will be a record of who owns what is held on a public ledger known as the blockchain. Since the ledger is maintained by thousands of machines worldwide therefore the documents cannot be forged.

The collaboration is scheduled to debut Friday, April 2nd at 4:00 pm Pacific Time for only 24 hours. Only eight pieces will be available in limited quantities with one piece being auctioned, and another — “Snoop Dogge Coins” — will be an open edition piece available for one hour only.
